Born July 26, 1925 in Chicago Heights to Frank and Anna Skoniecke, passed away July 22, 2015 in Woodstock four days before his 90th birthday. Formerly of Homewood, Illinois, Minocqua, Wisconsin, and Lakewood, Illinois.
He was a pharmacist for 40 years, owning Southgate Pharmacy in Homewood for 30 of those years. His compassion and devotion as a pharmacist forged many bonds and friendships. Tom and his wife Beverly loved to travel. Hawaii was their favorite destination but also visited many countries including, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Israel, and Norway. Upon retirement in 1990, they moved to Minocqua where they loved to fish, snowmobile, and have family visit them, especially the grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly; children, Gloria (David) Smiley, Tom Skoniecke, Victoria (Kevin) Sheldon, and Lori Skoniecke; and grandchildren, Sarah, Connor, Robert, Laura, Kristina, Thomas Joseph, Travis, and Kayla. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leonard Skoniecke.
Services for Tom will be held privately.
