Timothy Quinn Corcoran

Timothy Quinn Corcoran passed away at Good Shephard Hospital in Barrington, IL on May 31, 2024. Tim was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on June 11, 1960, to Elaine and Bill Corcoran. 

Tim attended Barrington High School and Arizona State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He began his career at Seaquist in the Research and Development department and stayed within the packaging industry, achieving multiple VP roles in both Sales and Marketing, and ending his professional career in 2021 as Business Development Specialist at Fruit of the Earth. 

Tim was married to his wife Sheri (Berndt) Corcoran for 34 years and together they created a legacy of their own. As a storyteller at heart, with his lust-for-life sense of humor, Tim was a goofball, enjoyed making others laugh, and never took himself too seriously. Being a father was the most important part of Tim’s life, a role that gave him pride and immense joy. Tim was a skilled skier and it brought him much happiness, along with playing golf, tennis, the guitar and cooking in the kitchen. Music was also an important part of his life, singing and dancing along to favorites like The Who and Neil Young.

Tim was a deeply emotional man that wore his heart on his sleeve and viewed showing love not as a vulnerability, but as a strength. He was a kind and generous man, always welcoming others with a warm smile and demeanor. Tim found a deep sense of purpose through volunteering at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry and sponsoring the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Tim was a practicing Catholic and attended church at St. Thomas the Apostle in Crystal Lake, IL. Tim’s generous love and kindness was felt by his family and friends alike. 

Tim is survived by his wife Sheri (Berndt) Corcoran, children Cassidy Corcoran (Ty), Riley Corcoran, and McKenna Corcoran, his siblings Casey Corcoran (Karen) and Katie Johnston and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Tim was predeceased by his parents Elaine and Bill Corcoran.
