Tom Bulger

Thomas R. Bulger, 62, of Crystal Lake, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022.

He was born October 9, 1959 in Libertyville, the son of the late Robert J. and Phyllis M. (nee Mooney) Bulger.

Tom took pride in his family, always wanting to be involved with coaching, cub scouts, and was always a cheerleader for his kids. Tom was the rock for his wife after receiving her cancer diagnosis, always there to support and care for her. Tom was an avid sports enthusiast, dedicated to Chicago sports teams (except the White Sox).

An active member of his community, Tom was proud of his time with the Crystal Lake Citizens Police Academy. He loved attending concerts, enjoying Jack Daniels, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his beloved family.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judy; his children, Jennifer (RC) Sanchez and Derek (Megan) Bulger; his granddaughter, Layla; his siblings, Jeanne Cooper, Bob (Kathy) Bulger and Kevin (fiancée Mary) Bulger; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to visit with Tom’s family on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 2nd at 10:30am with visitation beginning 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
