Funeral Mass for Tom Welch, 91, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2010, at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin St.), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:00 a.m., until the time of Mass. Father Tom Bishop will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. A reception will immediately follow the burial. Tom, who was born December 8, 1918 in Minneapolis, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at home. He worked as a regional sales manager for the Hearst Corporation for 42 years. During his time in Barrington, he was very active with St. Anne Parish. Upon his retirement, he volunteered with the Executive Corps to assist non-profit organizations with fundraising and marketing efforts. Survivors include his children, Tracy Hargrave of Schaumburg and Ted (Mary) Welch of Walnut Creek, Calif.; grandchildren, Patrick (Jill) and Scott (Suzanne) Moore and Brad (Lisa) Welch and Stacy (Chad) Barnes; and great-grandchildren, Marianne, Nolan, and Mackay Moore and Cole Barnes, and Griffin and Gavin Welch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 2004; parents, Thomas H. and Frances L. (nee Young) Welch; and sister, Jane Sawyer Harris.
