Tracy Lynn Koch

Tracy Lynn Koch, 41, of Rockford, formerly of Barrington, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family, friends and furry companion by her side on March 27, 2022. She was born on January 13, 1981 in Barrington, IL to Donald and Kim Koch.

Tracy worked for many years as an insurance adjuster; she found great joy and rewards in this field, where she got to travel all across the United States and bring her beloved rescue dog, Boo, with her to work.

Tracy was an avid concert goer and lover of music, especially Blake Shelton. Her greatest joys were attending his shows (always managing a way to be front row, center) and attending the meet & greets before and after the show.

Tracy was a strong, independent woman who never complained about her situation; rather, she cared deeply for others and wanted them to be happy. She always said exactly what was on her mind and you never had to guess what she was thinking or how she felt. She was the definition of a “Bad-ass warrior” and “Just do it”.

When Tracy did settle down she purchased a home in Rockford. She worked hard for it and was incredibly proud of her home, her truck and especially her beautiful garden.

She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends who were always entertained by her stories and hilarious sense of humor – especially her epic prank phone calls. She truly brought life to the party.

Tracy is survived by her parents; her brother, Adam Koch; her fur-baby, Boo; and by many loving friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 11 AM until the Celebration of Life service at 2 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010. Interment will be private.
