Tyler Wills, age 39, of Lake Zurich, Illinois and formerly of South Bend Indiana died Monday, March 15 in a one car accident within a half mile of his home.
He is survived by his fiancé and love of his life Stephanie Brown; his parents, Martyn (Kathleen) Wills of South Bend, IN and Beth (Bob) Plato of Port Orange, FL; siblings, Travis Wills of Daytona Beach, FL, Greg (Lisa) Mueller of Granger, IN, and Maggie (Jacob) Gibney-McClein, of South Bend, IN; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Tyler grew up in South Bend and attended Stanley Clark School, Howe Military Academy, and Adams High School. After multiple adventures and misadventures, he settled in Lake Zurich, IL where he worked at Kerry Industries. He loved sports and most recently played soccer, hockey, and flag football. He loved the Pittsburgh Penguins and Notre Dame, and playing fantasy football with Stephanie’s dad Tom Brown. Tom and his wife Barbara were a tremendous support for the couple. Tyler made everybody welcome and a source of entertainment for himself. He will be sorely missed.
A private viewing has been scheduled followed by cremation. A memorial service for Tyler will be held from 2pm until 4pm on Saturday March 27, 2021 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL. A second memorial service will be held by the family at a later date during the summer in South Bend, IN.
