Ursula Oettinger

Ursula G. Oettinger, 74, of Hoffman Estates, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates.

She was born April 7, 1940, in Leipzig, Germany and married the late Herbert Oettinger on September 5, 1963, in Germany.

A registered nurse specializing in pediatrics, Ursula was also a wonderful, loving, and caring mother. She was a passionate gardener, cook, and baker, who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Christine U. Oettinger of Hoffman Estates; son, Christoph M. Oettinger of Lake Zurich; grandchildren, Elin E. Oettinger and Coplan M. Oettinger; sister, Christel (Clendon) Barnes of Prescott, AZ.; and nephews, Clendon, David and Steven Barnes.

In addition to her husband, Herbert, Ursula was preceded in death by her parents, Werner and Lina.

Private services will be held at a later date.
