Varoujan A. Ketenjian

Varoujan “Var” Ketenjian, 56, of Barrington passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2018. He was born on October 21, 1961 in Arlington Heights, IL. He was a graduate of Barrington High School and earned a BS degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Var owned a dog grooming business in Barrington, and the past 8 years he has been a Factory Manager.

Var is survived by his cousins Ani Karagozian, Andre Balian, Viken Stamboulian, Chris Stamboulian and Ohan Stamboulian. Var is also survived by his loving fiancée, Todd Davidson.

Var was a huge jeep fan, loved to travel, loved to cook and huge animal lover. In the past 3 years he has been especially fond of birds, and is survived by Perci, Sparky, Mango, Kiwi, Bobo and George.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ketenjian, and will be buried along side of her.

Var was loved by many far and wide. His smile, laugh and personality will be remembered by friends and family forever.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 4PM until 9PM with a funeral service at 8PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010.
