Vincens LoBosco, 88, of Algonquin, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Autumn Leaves in Crystal Lake. He was born October 10, 1930 in Palermo, Italy to Andrew and Celia LoBosco. On September 15, 1956 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Reeser.
Vincens served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Continental Can for over 30 years, retiring as a foreman. Following retirement, he founded V&L Painting. Vincens enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Andrew (Patty), Myrl, John (Jeanette), and Vincens, Jr. (Lara); his grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Tom (fiancé Marissa), Staci, Stephanie (Nick) Kiekens, Katherine (fiancé Joseph), Lexi (fiancé Jordon), Vincent, and Dominic; many loving sisters; a brother; and nieces and nephews.
On Saturday, January 12 there will be a visitation at 9am followed by prayers at 10:15am at Davenport Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Algonquin Cemetery, Algonquin.
