Virginia J. Schuster

Virginia J. Schuster, 88, of Hayward, Wi, formerly of Crystal Lake, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Huntley, IL. She was born March 4, 1930 in Cecil, WI to Arthur and Evelyn (nee Kosbab) Adelmeyer.

Virginia graduated from the Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 and had a long career as a Registered Nurse. After graduating, she moved to Denver where she met her husband Richard (Dick) Schuster. They lived in Crystal Lake from 1960 to 1992 before retiring to the Hayward, Wisconsin area. She enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the north woods, reading mystery novels, baking and her family. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and was proud to have lived to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series.

She is survived by her children, Ed (Mary) Schuster, Jean (Bob) Kane, Mark Schuster, and Linda (Bill) Griffin; her grandchildren, Tim (Kariann) Schuster, Jennifer (Dave) Lackey, Kristine (Eric) Hammer, Eric (Cara) Heimann, and Sam and Ally Griffin; her great grandsons, Logan and Lincoln; her brothers, Donald Schuster and Ivan Schuster; and her sister, Sharon Larrabee.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Schuster; two infant children; her sister, Kathleen Remus; her brothers, Dennis Schuster and Francis Schuster; her parents; and her stepfather, Roosevelt Schuster.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, April 15 from 3:00-5:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL. A short service will follow at 5:00pm.
