Virginia Gher Train

Virginia Gher Train, 98, of Barrington, IL, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. Virginia was an educator and homemaker. Born in Urbana, IL, she attended University of Illinois where she met and married Jack Train. They settled in Barrington in 1959. She was a founding member of the Presbyterian Church of Barrington.

Throughout her life, Virginia devoted many hours to volunteer work at places that included the Barrington Area Library, hospitals, and local schools.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family: son, Jack Douglas Train; daughters Barbara Hammond and Pamela Leutz; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
