Walter Gauger

Walter Gauger, 91, of Apple Canyon Lake, IL passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021.  He was born in Geneva, IL to Walter and Elsie Gauger on July 17, 1929.

On May 7, 1961 he married Carol DeMichele at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mt. Prospect, IL.  They resided primarily in Prospect Heights and eventually retired in Apple Canyon Lake.

Walter is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Holly (Glenn) Mueller and Scott (fiancé Amanda) Gauger; grandchildren, Madison, Tony, Brian, Nathan and Hunter; and great granddaughter, Talia.

Walter enjoyed watching football and manning the grill, with drinks in hand, with his son-in-law, Glenn.  Vacationing on St. Petersburg Beach for 25 years was something he looked forward to with Carol.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, at 2:00pm with a visitation to start at 1:00pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake.
