Walter C. Kamholz

Walter C. Kamholz, (1931-2018), peacefully passed away on January 21.  Born in West Allis, Wisconsin, he later spent much of his adult life living in Crystal Lake, Illinois.  Loving husband for 62 years of the late Mary Jane (nee Muth).   Dedicated father of six children: Kurt (Cindy); Kris; Keith (Judy); Kevin (Eileen); Kit (Barbara) and Kyle (Kathy).  Proud grandfather of Becky (Matt) Schweikert; Daniel; Jennifer; Kendall, Morgan, Taylor; Grace, Emalee; Adam and Max.  Loving brother of Ruth (the late Clifford) Hart.   Preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Louise, and sisters Mildred (James) Shindel and Audrey (Leo) Smrtnik.  Dear brother in law and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Walter served in an Army MASH unit in the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion, Post 171.  An avid sports fan, he coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for over 16 years, and served as the Little League President of Crystal Lake for five years.  Lifelong employee in management at Western Electric / AT&T.
