Wanda Pears

Wanda Jean Pears, 90, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2015. She was born on January 16, 1925 in Buda, IL to John and Dorothy (nee Fitzpatrick) Crumley.
Wanda was very active in the Crystal Lake Womens’ Club, Book Club; she was also one of the founders of the Pioneer Center. She was an avid golfer and played with various leagues. Wanda enjoyed travelling and skiing with her ski club. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially going out to dinner with her lady friends and having her favorite drink, an old-fashioned to her last day.
Wanda will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 70 years, Arthur Pears, with whom she was united in marriage on July 20, 1945. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Pam Cronenwett, Dan (Nancy Solomon) Pears; grandchildren, Megan (Dan) Bickett, Robert (Tracy) Cronenwett, Morgan (Nina) Pears, Erik (Ashlee) Pears, great-grandchildren, Joseph, Macey, Ella, Maya, Tate, Lukas, MacKenzie, Levi and Sydney Rose; sisters, Donnie and Doe.
She was preceded in death by, her grandson, Bryan Cronenwett, son-in-law, Gary Cronenwett, her sister, Kate, and by her parents.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 1 PM until 3 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
