Wayne Tegeder

Wayne H. Tegeder, 82, of Barrington; beloved husband of Betty (nee Wingler), loving father of Tim (Kathy) and Steve; cherished grandfather of Ryan ( Katie), Brendan, Cameron, Shannon, Morgan, Patrick, and Sean; brother of Patsy (the late Richard) Wessel; brother-in-law of Norman (Jan) Wingler and Donna Tegeder; uncle of Lori Ackerman, Charlotte(John) Wildrick , Carolyn (Tom) Browning, David Tegeder, and Cynthia Johnson. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Clara; brother, Daryle; sister, Gwendolyn; niece, Tania Wessel-Town; and granddaughter, Marianne Tegeder.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at 2 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington.

Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard and a proud graduate of University of Illinois. He was a sales and marketing executive in the steel industry for more than 40 years. Wayne was an active member of VFW Post #7706, Friends of the Library (Barrington) and annual book sale, Barrington Hills Country Club, and the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights. Wayne leaves a legacy of dedication, loyalty, and love to his family, country, and God.
