Wilburn Davis

Born March 7, 1927 in McLeansboro, Illinois, Wilburn passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Sycamore at the age of 88.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Jo (nee Thackrey); his children, Nancy Waters, Jill Davis, and Beth Travis; grandchildren, Chapman Davis Waters, Luke Travis, and Amy Travis; siblings, Alice Dean, Dr. Bryan Davis, and Sue Cottingham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jobeth Miller; and five siblings.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St., Barrington, IL 60010.

Memorial donations in Wilburn’s memory may be made to the Pay-It-Forward House, 719 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178.
