William "Bill" E. Stripp Sr.

William 'Bill' Stripp, 81, of Crystal Lake died on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Bill was born on April 12, 1943 in Elmhurst, IL. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Following his service, he spent his career in Information Technology management.

Bill is survived by his wife June of 58 years, daughter Laura (Curt) Capinha, daughter-in-law Helen Stripp, grandchildren Andrew (Juliet) Stripp, Brian Stripp (partner Cedric), Victor Capinha, Anna Capinha, and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth Stripp, brother Robert Jr. and his recently deceased son, Bill Stripp Jr.

Bill was a fun-loving, kind and devoted family man with many passions such as golfing, skiing, sailing, playing cards, travelling, biking, camping, and family history. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 11 AM until the memorial service at 1 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. There will be a private burial for immediate family members at Saint Peters Cemetery in Spring Grove.
