William Biscomb

William Mitchell Biscomb, 74, of Crystal Lake, was born February 19, 1941 in Ishpeming, MI to Harry and Lois (nee Mitchell) Biscomb. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Woodstock.
Bill graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration in 1963. He worked for the Social Security Administration from 1968 until his retirement in 2004. He served as the branch manager of the Woodstock Social Security office for the last 31 years of his career. He was a member of the Woodstock Rotary Club where he served as President in 1990-91. In 1992 he was named Rotarian of the Year. He was a past President of the Church Council for St. Paul’s UCC Church. He was currently serving as a board member for the Illinois Agency on Aging, and as President of the Board for the Four Colonies Condominiums.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Wyse) Biscomb; his daughters, Kelly (Lance) Burmeister, and Renee Christianson; his grandsons, Dane and Kyle Burmeister; and his brother-in-law, John Anderson. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Anderson; and his parents.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
