William H. Conrad

William H. Conrad, 76, of Crystal Lake passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021.   He was born in Evanston on November 3, 1944, to Phyllis and Howard Conrad.

Bill was a devoted husband to Nancy (Solano) for over 48 years and a dedicated father to Paul Conrad (Kimberly) and Kimberly Magruder (Schuyler) and loving grandfather to Grace Howard.

Bill taught Special Education in District 59 (Elk Grove Village) for over 30 years.  A member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Bill was very involved with his community.  He loved to travel and leaves his family with many cherished memories of vacations and outings.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, from 4pm until the time of a service at 7:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.    A private family inurnment will be at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name can be made to JourneyCare Foundation ( www.journeycare.org ) in appreciation for the comfort they gave Bill at the end of his journey.
