William “Bill” Bradford Frenk, 79, was born October 30, 1937 in Elgin, IL to William and Crystal (nee Scoville) Frenk. He passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Barrington.
Bill served his country proudly in the Army and was known for his patriotism. Bill also served the Lord through mission trips and dedicated his life to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Crystal Lake. He retired from United Airlines after 33 years, providing many adventures for his family. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed entertaining at his home on the lake. In his later years, Bill loved fishing, golfing, traveling with his wife and family and spending time with his grandsons. He was known for opening his home to everyone for gatherings, especially 4th of July and the famous “Willy Open”.
Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ellen (nee Schrader) Frenk; his children, David (Amy) Frenk and Nancy (Cindy Thornton) Frenk; his grandsons, Jason and Geoffrey Frenk; and his sister, Barbara (John) Sexton.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive guests from 4-9pm, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. A visitation will be held from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Historic Campus, 178 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. Burial will be held at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 S. Pathway Ct., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
