William Paul Joseph, Sr.

William Paul Joseph, Sr., 62, of Woodstock passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017.  He was born in Chicago on September 17, 1955 to William G. and Hannah (nee Petterson) Joseph.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, from 4 pm until time of funeral service at 8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

William married the love of his life, Debra Garcia, on Valentine’s Day in 1986.  Together they raised two boys, William Paul, Jr. (aka Little Bill) and Anthony Michael (aka AJ).  He was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend.  Bill loved spending time with family and friends. He cherished the people is his life and would do anything for anyone.  Little Bill and AJ were his most prized possessions. He loved those boys more than life itself.

Big Bill, as he was known, loved cheering on the Packers and the Yankees.  He loved watching his sports. He could sit & count his baseball cards for hours that he had collected through the years. He was a say-it-as-it-is kind of guy and would always be good for a laugh.

Bill is survived by his wife, Debra; his sons, Bill and Anthony; his mom, Hannah Kinney; his sister, Lisa Kinney; and many special nieces and nephews.

Bill was given the gift of life, but now has to give it back. We keep him in our hearts forever. He will be greatly missed.
