William Paul Kane
March 4, 1935 — August 31, 2017
William Paul Kane, 82, of Barrington, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 31, 2017. He was born March 4, 1935 in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, the son of Patrick and Agnes (nee Lacey) Kane.
Bill received his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University where he also played football. Following college, he spent 4 years in the United States Air Force, separating as Captain. Bill retired from Allstate after over 30 years.
In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, Garnet, he is survived by his children, Sandra (John) Coloe, William (Lisa) Kane, Marci (Bruce) Grenda, Christopher (Lisa) Kane, and Thomas (Cindy) Kane; his ten grandchildren; and brothers, Joseph and Robert Kane.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Eileen Campbell and Jack Kane.
The visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington. Visiting will continue Tuesday, September 5, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
