McHenry, Illinois,William "Bill" Sebastian The funeral service for William "Bill" Sebastian, 58, of McHenry, will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake, proceeding to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Father Akan S. Simon will be the celebrant. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2010, at the funeral home. Born May 20 1952, in Chicago, he passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, surrounded by family at his home. Bill served stateside in the Army National Guard from 1971-1977. He was the owner of Grand & Cicero Service in Chicago since 1980 and had worked there since 1967. Bill enjoyed building hotrods and buying and restoring vintage cars. Survivors include his wife, Kathy (nee Haag), whom he married May 5, 1973, in Chicago; children, Julie of Crystal Lake, Mike (Theresa) of Chicago, and Steve (Rachel) of Crystal Lake; granddaughters, Marissa and Abigail; mother, Helen (nee Constant) of the Village of Lakewood; and siblings, Ed, Marge Ostrom, and Vickie Tonda. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur.
