William Thomas Vacala

After a long battle with cancer William T. Vacala (Bill/Billy), 62 years old from Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away on December 20, 2021.

Bill fought a courageous fight with the support and love of his family and close friends. The Vacala  family will forever be grateful to all the hospitals, doctors, and nurses that supported him through his valiant battle. His love for life, and quest for adventure, including fishing, hunting, and golfing will be forever remembered through the great stories and memories we can all share.

Born in Chicago, he is preceded in death by his parents, William and Julia Vacala and sister, Katie Vacala.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice (Chvatal) Vacala, and two loving daughters, Jessica Vacala and Casey Vacala (fiancé Zach Bray). Bill was the middle child of 11 children, Patrick Vacala (Joye), Larry Vacala (Lauren), Colleen Vacala Harmon (Tim), Mary Vacala, Mike Vacala (Linda), Chuck Vacala (Beth), the late Katie Vacala, Vince Vacala (Gina), Dan Vacala (Jennifer), Tom Vacala (Missy). Bill was the Uncle to Kristy, Jenny, Kimmy, Billy, Timmy, Tyler, Lane, Lisa, Julie, Danny, Taylor, Alexa, Justin, Jason, Michael, Dominique, Kyle, Peyton, Lane, Paolo, and Julia. He was the great uncle to many great nieces and great nephews.
