William E. Walker

William “Bill” E. Walker, 81, of Crystal Lake passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, February, 23, 2019.   He was born in Chicago on August 21, 1937 to William and Jeanette Walker.

Bill married Betty Rapcan on May 25, 1957 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Joliet, IL.   In 1972 they moved to Crystal Lake and raised their family.

He was very proud of his work as a salesman and as an entrepreneur.  Over the years, Bill worked for Frito Lay and Vitner Potato Chips.  He was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Peggy (Frank) Griffin and William Walker; grandchildren, Taylor, Madison and Emily Griffin and Billy and Jenna Walker; his brother, Phillip (Mary Beth) Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mary, Bonnie and Janet; and his infant brother, Robert.

Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, 60014 with a time of fellowship to follow.
