William "Bill" Corvillion

William “Bill” Corvillion, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2020 at the age of 80. He was born on June 27, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Myrtle Corvillion.

Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Marines, following in his father and brother’s footsteps. He was a member of American Legion, Courtesy Patrol for Jaycees in Crystal Lake and coached little league baseball. He was an underwriter for 5 years with Zurich Insurance; and then made his career in ocean importing/exporting.

He was the devoted husband of 57 years of Bonnie Lee (nee Doty); beloved father of Pam (Russ) Hilgenberg of Crystal Lake; Tim (Amy) Corvillion of Crystal Lake; and Amy (Brett) Ciske of Cary; proud grandfather of 12; cherished great-grandfather of 10; dear cousin of Margaret Beaton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara, Betty and Bob.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 2 PM until the 5:30 PM memorial service with military honors at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
