Yolanda A. Barcal, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Yolanda was born in Chicago, IL on May 25, 1932 to the late John and Dora Belpedio. Family was her central focus and more important to her in life than anything else. She loved to dance, especially if it was the Macarena with her grandchildren. Yolanda never failed to wear glitzy clothing when going out and she would eventually pass this trait along to her granddaughters.
Shopping at Wal-Mart was an activity that she and her sister thoroughly enjoyed. They loved it so much that they would often return the very next day just exchange yesterday’s purchases with new shoes and coats. Yolanda loved entertaining friends and family and will be fondly remembered for her wonderful Italian cooking, especially her famous spaghetti sauce, and for her love of sweets. She also loved playing cards with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Yolanda is survived by her loving children, John and James Barcal; daughter in law Rin Barcal; cherished grandchildren, Stevi, Sky, Summer, and Sunny; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Tanner, Bella, Bryson, Braylee, Brantley, Adalynn, and Amelia; brothers, Doug Belpedio and Bob Belpedio.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jack Barcal; siblings, Ron Belpedio, Babe Belpedio, and Ne-Ne Miller.
