Zdenka Poljak

Zdenka Poljak, 89, of Barrington, IL died peacefully on June 6, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Zdenka was preceeded in death by her husband, John.  Zdenka is survived by her two daughters Jasna and Donna, as well as two grandchildren Tomas and Jessica.  Zdenka was born in Croatia, fled to Austria, and Immigrated to the United States.  In addition to being a homemaker, Zdenka worked in the insurance and publishing fields.  A lifelong Catholic, Zdenka was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Community in Inverness where she was very active in the choir.  Zdenka was an avid gardener and prolific cook.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Community Church, 2515 West Palatine Road in Inverness.
