On Monday, August 10, 2020, Zdzislaw Bator was called home at the age of 64.  The world has lost a great brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Zdzislaw was born in Pionki, Poland, on January 25, 1956. The middle child of three sons, Zdzislaw had a close bond with his brothers. Zdzislaw was a skilled boxer. He spent much of his younger years training and winning regional titles.

Always enthusiastic to seek new endeavors, Zdzislaw traveled to Austria to find summer work. It was in Vienna that Zdzislaw met his wife Barbara. The love grew quick, and the two became an unstoppable pair. They did not think twice when the opportunity presented itself to move to the United States. Together with his wife they worked hard, and were able to grow their business and provide a life of endless opportunities for their children.

Zdzislaw is survived by his wife Barbara Bator; his sons Patrick Bator and Paul Bator; his daughter Elizabeth Jovanovic and her husband Bojan; his grandsons Ari and Nicholas Jovanovic; and his brothers Waldemar and Krzysztof Bator. He is predeceased by his mother Ania Bator and his father Franciszek Bator. His tireless love and devotion to his family and friends were evident in his final moments.

A visitation for Zdzislaw is planned for Sunday, August 16, 2020, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The visitation will be held at Davenport Funeral Home on 149 W Main Street, Barrington, Illinois. All are invited to attend. A private funeral for immediate family and close friends will be held on Monday, August 17th at 10:30 am at Holy Family in Inverness. After the mass, Zdzislaw will be laid to rest at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
