Zoraida Caldero
July 23, 1934 — February 27, 2017
Zoraida Caldero, 82 of Crystal Lake, was born on July 23, 1934 in Caguas, Puerto Rico and passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2017. In the 50s, Zoraida met her late husband, Carmelo, in Chicago, IL. Together, they had three children.
Zoraida was the loving mother of Zee (Craig) Puhala of Crystal Lake, IL; loving grandmother of Craig Antony and Jordan Nicole Puhala; dear sister of Victoria; cherished aunt of her beloved nieces and nephews. Zoraida was preceded in death by her children Carmelo and Belle Caldero.
She was a devout follower of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Crystal Lake, IL where she had many spiritual sons and daughters; her faith in God was unwavering. Zoraida was loved by all.
Her visitation will be on Thursday, March 2, from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Prayers will be said at 10am on Friday, March 3 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake, IL 60012.
