Francisco Javier Barbas Robles

Francisco Javier Barbas Robles, age 59, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5th, 2023.

He fought valiantly for six weeks after experiencing a severe heart attack.

Francisco was born in Sevilla, Spain on February 22, 1964.

He touched the lives of many as a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, colleague, teammate, educator, and musician. He will forever be remembered for his genuinely kind spirit, his charismatic sense of humor, his beautiful singing and guitar playing, his passion as an educator, his limitless creativity, his vast curiosity and imagination, his pride for his hometown of Sevilla, and his resilience. His unbreakable love and devotion to his family have persisted throughout the entirety of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jazmín (57); his precious daughter, Alicia (25); his siblings Susana, José Antonio, Manoli, Juan Ignacio, Leonardo, and Maribel; and his mother, Claudia Susana Robles Pardo.

Preceded in death by his father José Barbas Carmona.

A wake and visitation will be held in his honor on Sunday, June 11th, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

A funeral service will be on Monday, June 12th, at 10am at the funeral home.
