Jeanne Marie Gaffney

Jeanne Marie Gaffney, nee Carron, of Palos Heights and Barrington, passed away on May 24, 2021 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Jeanne was the loving wife of the late James Gaffney, a handsome, proud Marine and IBEW Local 134 Electrician.

Born in Chicago in 1935 to John and Abbie Carron, Jeanne was the cherished baby sister of Mary Rita Bresnahan (late Robert) the late Jack (Jeanne) Carron, Tom Carron, Ann (Larry) Byrne and Peggy (Bob) Wasberg.

Jeanne leaves behind her seven children, James (Ann Marie) Gaffney, John Gaffney, Daniel (Maggie) Gaffney, Dennis (Colleen) Gaffney, David (Vicki) Gaffney, Ann (Richard) Stefan and Michael (Jennifer) Gaffney along with 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

For 38 years, Jeanne was a loyal employee of Parkview Orthopaedic Group in Palos Heights. She began her career as a transcriptionist in the late 1970s and retired as executive secretary to the founding partner at age 78.

Jeanne was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was known for her elegance and style, but most of all, Jeanne will be remembered as a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, with an unshakable devotion to her Catholic faith.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela Street (Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.) Barrington.  Interment will be held privately by the family.
