John V. Wozniak

John V. Wozniak, 77, of Crystal Lake, was born on May 15, 1941 in Chicago, IL and passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 23, 2018. John was the loving husband of Donna (nee Allen); beloved father of Chuck (Kendra) Sylvester, Jim (Susan) Sylvester, John (Mary) Wozniak, Julianne (Ross) Broxson, Jennifer Wozniak, and Jacquelin (Nick) Clemente. He was also the cherished grandfather of Nicole, Adam, Kacie, Caidyn, Ashlyn, Lincoln, Morgan, McKenna, Andrew, Emily, Hannah, Bart, and Collin. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emily Wozniak; his sister, Arlene Strope; and his granddaughter, Taylor Wozniak.

John prioritized spending time with his family whenever he had the chance and traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed taking care of the business that he and his wife built, Aspen Boarding and Breeding. John left behind his beloved Golden Retrievers and Miniature Poodles.

Visitation for John will be held on Thursday, August 30, from 4:00-8:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. On Friday, August 31, prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:00am, proceeding to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 S. McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake, for Mass at 10:00am. Interment will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
