Patricia Mae (Simek) Manno
June 23, 1949 — October 19, 2017
Patricia M. Manno, 68, Huntley, formerly of Palatine, passed away peacefully October 19, 2017 surrounded by her children. She was born on June 23, 1949 in Chicago to the late Frank and Margaret (nee Rezba) Simek.
After a blind date and less than a year of courtship, Ronald S. Manno proposed and they were married at St. Emily’s Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect. He preceded her in death after 38 years of marriage.
Pat enjoyed her family and was always busy with everyday life as a mom. She and Ron loved traveling the Caribbean on cruises as empty nesters; now they are together again for eternity.
The fruit of their love was their four children, Nicki (Tony) Lis, Cory (Pam), Mario (Dara), and Fr. Kyle; and seven grandchildren, Alexa, Avery, Connor, Gracie, Frankie, Amory, and Josie. Pat is further survived by her siblings, Bob (Joy) Simek, Rich (Antoinette) Simek, Carrie Simek, and Nancy (Terry) Wojcik; brother-in-law, Anthony (Diane) Manno; aunt, Ameriga Cesaroni; many loving nieces and nephews; and her loyal dog, Holly.
Visitation will be Monday, October 23, from 4 pm – 8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue at the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday before processing to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, for mass at 10:30 AM. Pat’s son, Fr. Kyle Manno will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
