Patricia "Pat" Carmody

Patricia “Pat” Carmody, 70, a resident of Hawthorn Woods for 30 years, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on July 26, 2019. She was born on December 17, 1948 in Hamilton, OH to Eugene and Wilma Gray.

Pat was an avid gardener, loved animals and a good game of golf and bowling. Pat loved to cook and plan parties. She was known by her family and friends as a wonderful hostess, often making enough food for the whole neighborhood. Her granddaughters were her everything and she greatly enjoyed doing arts and crafts with them. She was notorious for playing pranks on her family and friends, especially her granddaughters and bowling team. Her sense of humor and warm nature will be missed by all.

Pat will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Larry, with whom she was united in marriage on October 27, 1969 in Otterbein, IN; children, Stephen, Daniel and Erin Carmody; granddaughters, Ashlynn and Maggie; brother, Richard Gray; and by many friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Raymond Gray and Sheila Cochran.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2019, from 4 PM until the time of service at 7:30 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Interment will be private.
