Bob passed away peacefully at his home February 13, 2020. He was born September 17, 1936 in Lakewood, OH to John and Catherine Henning and has been a resident of Barrington for 40 years.
Bob was a US Army veteran of the 101st Airborne Division. He attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a degree in Chemistry. He worked in technical sales, marketing, and product management. As Vice President he served on multiple Boards of Directors and frequently traveled internationally.
Bob was a true family man and was married to Alice for 58 years and was very proud of his two sons Paul (Patti) and Mark (Jill). Cherished grandfather of Tyler, James, Meara and Lila; and brother, William (Karen). He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Hall.
Bob enjoyed traveling, golf, bridge, sailing, and most of all being with his family. After he retired he was involved in volunteering and the community.
Visitation will be at 10 AM until the memorial service and celebration of Bob’s life at 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 7 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake Cook Road) Barrington.
