Robert Dale Milkovich, 59, of Palatine, IL passed away November 29, 2022. Robert was born on July 8, 1963 in Arlington Heights, IL to the late Paul and Mary Milkovich.
Bob had many passions in life. As a teenager, he was a proud player of the PAFA football team in Palatine, IL. He continued his sports career at Palatine High School on the football and wrestling teams. Bob was a true Palatine Pirate, the spirit ran through his blood. He then graduated from Southern Illinois University, an amazing accomplishment for his family. Bob had a very successful advertising career and went on to meet his former wife Joy and started a beautiful family with his two daughters Hope and Faith who he was so very proud of. His passion for photography and social media grew. He had many amazing opportunities throughout his career, including photographing for the Chicago Bears. Bob was diagnosed with cancer for over 5 years since then, every day was met with optimism, courage, and determination. With his presence on social media throughout his cancer journey, he unknowingly inspired other cancer fighters with immense strength and positivity. Bob was also an avid traveler and adventurer with recent travels to Tulum, Italy, Alaska, New Orleans and more. Each and every trip resulted in new friendships and incredible photographs. Many described Bob as “a ray of light” and “lover of life”. He will remain an inspiration to all. As he now joins his other loved ones in heaven, they are dancing together by the northern lights. Bob is survived by his children, Hope Milkovich and Faith Milkovich; former wife, Joy DiDomenico; Siblings, Keith (Mary) Milkovich and Todd Milkovich; former sister-in-law, Lisa Leonora; and nieces, Morgan Milkovich and Michelle Milkovich; and loving brother to the late Bruce Milkovich.
Visitation will be held on December 10, 2022 from 1pm till the time of service at 3pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 149 W Main Street Barrington, IL 60010.
